Please come to Cornwall!! Plymouth is not close enough!!

Hi Antonia, I am so sorry Plymouth is not close enough...I do my best to go to as many places as possible, while still leaving time to write the books...

I'll mention to my publishers that maybe we should visit Cornwall next time. All best, Cressida

Ms. Cowell, Do you plan on touring in the United States? I have two children who are Hiccup addicts and would be so happy to meet you. I've had to pre-order copies of your latest book from the UK, and we all hope you are busily writing book 10. We can't wait to find out what happens!

Hi Beth, I am so glad you like the books - I hope to get to the States to tour someday...

Awww, it's such a pain living in Switzerland of all places- none of the authors I love (rick Riordan and Cressida Cowell for example) ever tour there... My dad and I read the books avidly- I can't wait to find out how Hiccup's story ends!

Ah, I'm sorry, April...I have three children of my own, who I hate leaving, so I have tended to tour closer to home

Hullo, another of your American readers here. Is there any way to send you a book for signing, since your domestic schedule (in both the "UK" sense, and the "mommie" application) seems to preclude a trip to the U.S. in the near future? And yes, I'm a grownup. Thanks!!

Hi Paul - yes it probably would be best to send it here...because even if I do go to the U.S. it's such a big place there's no guarantee I'd be going anywhere near you! You could send it to me c/o Sarah Mays, Hodder Children's books, 338 Euston Road London NW1 3BH. Or if you would prefer, I could send you a signed book plate? All best, Cressida P.S. I get loads of adult readers - I think perhaps because I wrote the books to be read aloud by a parent to a child, so I try to make them work for both kids and grown-ups

Hi Rosina, I am so sorry I am not coming to Bury St Edmunds this tour - hopefully I will be going in a Suffolk direction in the future....Unfortunately I can't spend longer than a month touring at a time because I have to start the next book! I hope you enjoy How to Seize a Dragon's Jewel...all best, Cressida

My boys (7 & 8) love your books, related movie and TV shows! They read them as soon as they are released. Both Amazon and Barnes and Noble state an April 30, 2013 release date. Any help locating the book in the US is greatly appreciated!! My boys and I thank you! - Shan

hi Shan, I am so sorry, the books are still being published a little later in the U.S.! Little Brown are hoping to catch up for book 11, which will be next October 2013...So the Amazon and Barnes and Noble dates are probably correct for the U.S., and at the moment the only copies of book 10 you can get hold of are the U.K. editions...all best wishes, and sorry about that, Cressida

hi cressinda i enjoy your imagination in your books and my favorite character is toothless because he's very cheeky. We are going to come and see you in Sheffield, we're soooo excited! from sarah ( PS from mum David Tennant is an inspired choice to read the audio books - his voice for Kamikaze with a Welsh accent... and no 2 daughter Hazel has written her own version of Hiccups' school report this week - she felt he had a rough deal!)

hello Sarah, I'm so glad you're enjoying the books so much! I know, isn't David Tennant a genius...Looking forward to seeing you in Sheffield...all best Cressida

hiya Thomas, I'm so glad you're enjoying the books so much - I haven't toured the U.S. yet because I have three children of my own and they get a bit sad when I go away...as soon as I do, I'll put the details on my website. All best, Cressida

I came to meet you in Milton Keynes dressed as Toothless with my sister and friends who were Stormfly, Hiccup and Camacazi. We really loved meeting you, you're just as great as your books. We're really enjoying the 10th book and we're trying to make it last as long as possible as we don't want it to end but I'm finding that very difficult!

Hiya Ethan,

Your costumes were AMAZING! I was SO impressed...I'm really really glad you're enjoying the 10th book so much, and it was lovely to meet you all. Don't worry, there will be a book (or two) after the 10th one, I promise...

Hi Polly...well, we did parts of Scotland as well as parts of England, but I'm sorry we haven't been to Wales yet. It was my first book tour, and although it was two weeks, we couldn't get everywhere in two weeks! We WILL go to Wales, though, I promise, there will be more book tours to come! Thanks, John! Will remember that...have three young children of my own, so this makes touring more tricky., and is why I haven't toured U.S. so far. In fact WAS due to tour last year, but was prevented by the volcano in Iceland keeping planes grounded! A very Hiccup-y reason to have your tour cancelled...
